We do not accept submissions from the following countries - India - Pakistan - African Continent - China etc. Submissions only please from European Community (English language only please) USA - Canada - Australia - New Zealand. The following information is for authors wishing to be published by Whiffyskunk.com book publishing.
Authors wishing to be published by Whiffyskunk.com should submit a synopsis and two or three sample chapters by email to
admin@whiffyskunk.com. Your sample chapters should be sent as an attachment to your email containing your synopsis. Your email should contain information about yourself, your manuscript length, what market you think your manuscript fits into, and your future aspirations. Accepted attachment files are - .wps, .odt (Open Office - from open office.org (a free but very good word processing programme)), .pdf or .txt.
Authors must have their work professionally edited before submittal. Whiffyskunk.com does not and will not edit your manuscripts, your work is not finished until it has been edited, we are not here to write your manuscripts for you...!All authors published by Whiffyskunk.com, are done so under contract. Once under contract, we will own your publishing rights for one or two years depending on the contract. Within this time Whiffyskunk.com may act as agent, in regards to the rights of your manuscript, and may sell the rights to another publisher if we think it is in your interest for us to do so. However, at no stage will we sell your contract and rights to another publisher, without your full permission and agreement. The author, will receive 45% of the total sale price we receive from any sale of their contract. A seperate contract is agreed and signed, for each manuscript that we publish by an author. All manuscripts must be the original work of the author submitting it, and must not have been published before. If in the event that the manuscript has been published before, then all the rights of publish must have been returned to the author, and any previous contractual arrangements must be null and void.
Whiffyskunk.com provides a book cover including photo, basic editorial, ISBN and also global distribution at no charge to the author. Authors remuneration is set at 50% of the sales price of your Ebook when sold through the distributors' retail sites, and 70% of the sales price, on any of your Ebook titles sold through our own retail store. Your Ebook will be a .PDF production.
We also make a paperback production of your manuscript if we believe it is in our interest to do so, and which will be sold through Amazon - Barnes and Noble and many many more. The author will receive 30% of the sale price remuneration, on each of your POD paperbacks that are sold through the distributors' retail outlets.
